Pronounced DOWNSIX is an anagram of DOS and UNIX. The company was formed in October of 1990 by Nick Smallwood & Mike van Lokven to assist businesses who have 10 PCs or more to get access to high quality IT outsourcing support at reasonable cost. Our business model and practices are designed around giving you the best cost/benefit from your business IT using the most innovative business solutions available.

Our Strength No help desk. We do not operate a help desk for most instances. Your queries will be answered directly by a dedicated skilled engineer assigned to your business. He/she will be familiar with your operation to give you the right answers to your questions based on his/her knowledge of your business and your IT.

We speak English. We report to your management in English, no geek here!

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Dounsix Systems Ltd was asked to give a Quotation for the hardware and installation of our new computer system.

A representative, arrived in person to meet and establish exactly what was required for our Veterinary Practice. 

They made numerous contact with our software suppliers, a software company in Auckland to ascertain requirements.

The quotation  from Dounsix Systems was within the range of other quotations,  but was accepted also for the professional way it was handled and the extra time taken to ascertain the best hardware, software and networking available to meet the requirements of this busy Veterinary Practice.

The hardware was ordered, supplied and installed efficiently. 
We have been very happy with the hardware and installation and we are continually grateful to be able to contact DOUNSIX by telephone for support when needed.
